The Playa
The following is a rant and not necessarily directly related to adult dating. More so, it is a rant about human behavior and how hypocritical and laughable it truly is.
First, what is a playa? My understanding is that a playa is a person (man or woman) who will lie, tell people what they want to hear, a manipulator and one who juggles multiple partners at one time. The playa is goal oriented and is completely selfish. The typical MO of the playa is to acquire sex. However, I also believe that the playa can be driven by other selfish motives including money, ego boosting, validation…basically, anything that will someone benefit the playa at any cost and with no regards concerning any other person involved.
Time and time again I have heard women talk about the playa and how much they dislike anyone who is a playa. Yet, time and time again, these same women always end up with a playa. This makes my head shake because these women are well aware that they are getting involved with a playa. There is certainly something deeper going on here. Either they have a need to involve themselves in an adult dating relationship with playas only, they have attention or insecurity issues or they in fact themselves are playas. I believe all of the above apply and then some, but that’s for another article.
Perhaps you’ve joined an online adult dating site to escape the playas you find in bars or at your local scene. Well, you should know (if you do not already), that playas are everywhere, including online. Now, you know how to spot one and the same principles apply online as they do in the traditional adult dating world. So, apply them. Don’t bitch about people you meet on online adult dating sites as if such people don’t exist in the real world. Don’t delude yourself. Simply accept it and move on.
This is really just a brief rant, again not necessarily based solely on adult dating, and I will be closing now. If you do not like playas, for goodness sake, don’t get involved with one. Stop talking out of both sides of your mouth. Not only does it make you a hypocrite, people will lose respect for you…and very quickly I might add.
Did you know that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result? Think about it.

Would you expect a guy you meet at a bar to call you a couple of times and then take you out on the perfect date, be the perfect gentleman, do all the right things and also be genuine? Come on.
